Hour of 13 : 333

You want heavy? Hour of 13 do heavy. You want proper no frills old school Doom, well by Satan Hour of 13 can do that too… Brilliantly.

A proper rumbling bass underpins 333, the sort you can feel in your viscera. The down and dirty riffs and impressive vocals adding extra layers of distorted perfection, managing to stay sledgehammer heavy during the (relatively) uptempo tracks like the brilliant opener Deny The Cross.

This is as good as 70s inspired Doom metal gets, and although it’s a done to death sound it’s great to see Hour of 13 squeezing the very best out of it.
