Triaxis Live at Hammerfest 5

The past 12 months or so have seen South Wales’ finest Metal export Triaxis enjoy something of a meteoric rise. Signing to Rocksector Records, releasing one of the albums of 2012 in Rage and Retribution and making their first forays into continental Europe, it’s safe to say things are going quite well šŸ˜‰

Well, judging by the packed crowd, the UK’s Heavy Metal fraternity are well aware of what the band have to offer and Triaxis drew one of the biggest crowds we saw at the Jagermeister Stage. Along with their Rocksector label mates Absolva, Triaxis are at the forefront of the new generation of British heavy metal bands who shy away from gimmicks in favour of great songwriting and unrivaled live performances which pay homage to their illustrious predecessors while adding their own distinctive twist.

Today’s setlist was an all too short selection from the band’s two albums to date, with opener Sand and Silver and live favourite Lies being particular highlights, with the latter (literally) getting the whole place bouncing from front to back.

More than just about anyone else around today Triaxis are THE Metalhead’s metal band…
