Introducing the stage at Les-Fest 3

LFP are delighted to be taking their support of Les-Fest to a whole new level in 2014 with the sponsorship of the festival’s acoustic stage. Les-Fest was one of the highlights of the gig calendar in 2013, and even at this early stage the 2014 installment is shaping up as one of the must see events of the year.

Editor Iain Hawkins said of the deal “With our plans to take to the next level, we’ve been looking for a festival to get involved with, and the criteria was simple. We want to work with people which share our passion for the music, and there is no festival more passionate about that than Les-Fest.”

Festival main man Dave Ritchie sees the collaboration as a perfect fit “We’ve built Les-Fest on the basis that organisers, bands and fans all share the same love of live music, more than scene or fashion. To welcome new partners with that same passion is the logical next step as we grow the event. We know that share in our vision, and I look forward to working with them on the 2014 event”.

So the stage is set, all that’s needed is the music.

Iain says “When we were looking at bands to play there was one name that everyone involved agreed on, they were one of the highlights of Les-Fest 2013 so we have great pleasure in announcing that Steel Threads as our first stage headline band for 2014”.

Laura from Steel Threads is as excited at the prospect. “Steel Threads are honoured to be asked to play Les-Fest again. We loved it last time and the support from all at the festival and has been fantastic. We are really looking forward to promoting our new album For Those Who Are Left while headlining next year.”

Les-Fest is Scotland’s only three day Rock and Metal festival. Family friendly (under 14s go free) and with on-site camping, it takes place from the 27-29 June 2014 at Valley International Park, Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire.
