Hellfest 2014 Preview : Soulfly

Soulfly ivOne of the names in big letters on the line-up for Hellfest this year is Soulfly. Their combination of thrash, groove and nu-metal will be coming to the main stage on the Saturday night, right before virgin Euro festival headliners, Avenged Sevenfold.

Soulfly released their ninth studio album late last year and cackblabbath.online thought it was a blinder…

“‘Savages’ sees Soulfly at full pelt. The standalone band tracks are top notch and the guest appearances up the ante even further. Max and co reaffirm their relevance once again.”

Soulfly are a top booking for any festival. Songs like ‘Prophecy’, ‘Primitive’ and the crowd bulging ‘Jumpdafuckup’ are custom made to get the masses moving. As we found out last week, Soulfly aren’t booked on that many festivals so far this year due to Max’s commitments to the Metal All Stars tour. When asked about the phenomenal Hellfest line-up he agreed…

“Yeah it is. I wish we could do more festivals but we are playing Hellfest which will be great! But it’s going to be a little bit of Soulfly and a little bit of Metal All-stars this summer.”

So it looks as though Hellfest could be a rare occasion to catch Soulfly this summer. On the form of their recent UK tour, they’ll be worth catching!
