There’s a theme emerging with the reviews of Hammerfest VI’s warm up party on the Thursday night. We’d already had some great performances by the likes of Fury and Anihilated but the best was kept for last (well, last for me.. had enough of Tragedy at BOA). London metalers Savage Messiah are a band who are definitely on the up, with the recent release of their latest album The Fateful Dark cementing their ever ascending position in the UK metal firmament.
This was going to be good… Like really, really good.
Savage Messiah are a band who gig pretty much constantly and here at cackblabbath.online we’ve caught Dave, Joff and the guys a few times over the past couple of years, and they’ve never failed to hit the spot.
Regular readers will already know what we think of Savage Messiah, and to be honest I’m pretty much running out of superlatives. Suffice to say that this time they have stepped things up a notch, with tracks from the new album demonstrating a new songwriting maturity to go with their customary razor sharp delivery.
So, there you go, Savage Messiah showing us one more time why they’re the best of the new breed of modern UK Metal bands.
And looking a lot less nervous than they did for their second performance of the weekend…
