Slayer Live at Bloodstock 2016

Slayer 06For the second time in a couple of years, it’s down the the thrash duo of Slayer and Anthrax to close Bloodstock. There’s nothing like a bit of Slayer on a Sunday night is there?

If last time around, things seemed a little bit stilted largely due to the recent passing of Jeff Hanneman, this time around Slayer are top form. We’ve already seen them on the festival circuit this summer and they were on fire, so we knew we were in for a treat at Bloodstock.

Fire, yes, plenty of fire. The stage set is awesome. Two inverted crosses made from Marshall stacks that bellow out fire every now and then. Quite a simple but awesome spectacle.
