Limb have announced that they will be heading out on tour to road-test material for their forthcoming new album. The London-based stoner doomers will be accompanying Oxford rockers Desert Storm on 5 dates through England and Scotland. Bassist Sam Cooper comments,
‘We’re excited to get back on the road, and this time it’s with our good friends in Desert Storm. We’ve been locked away writing a new record, so we’ll be sharing songs from that, alongside some older big hitters too. We’re also looking forward to visiting a couple of new places for us, and returning to old haunts. Let the noise commence!’
2016 was a busy year for Limb: a UK tour with Vodun, a headline European tour culminating at Into the Void in Holland, and a blistering performance at HRH Stoner vs Doom in Sheffield. This year, they’ve returned to the jam room to work on new material, wanting to build on the super heavy stomp and cosmic groove of their first two albums while also expanding their sonic range. They’ll be road-testing this new set on tour, before they enter the studio with Russ Russell (At the Gates, Napalm Death, Raging Speedhorn), who previously worked with the band on 2015’s Terminal released by London label New Heavy Sounds (Black Moth, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, Ex People).
Sponsored by Buried in Smoke promotions, The Sleeping Eye, and Sludgelord, the tour dates are:
Wed 16th Aug – London, Black Heart
Fri 18th Aug – Glasgow, Nice’N’ Sleazy
Sat 19th Aug – Leicester, The Firebug
Sun 20th Aug – Milton Keynes, The Crawford Arms
