New Venom Prison Video ‘Immanentize Eschaton’

VENOM PRISON have have kicked off 2018 by premiering a brand new video for the track Immanentize Eschaton via Revolver magazine. They have also announced details of a new deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed debut album, Animus, featuring previously unreleased live recordings.

The video stays true to the band’s relentless and uncompromising style – it’s not for the faint of heart. Created with director Tom Cronin and filmed in Newport, South Wales, the gritty and blood-soaked video sets the pace for what is set to be a big year for the UK-based five piece.

Vocalist, Larissa Stupar comments:

“The track and video are about finding yourself and eradicating weakness. The way you imagine your path to finding a better self is not always going to be beautiful, but a darkness you need to embrace before you see the light.  So, even if you have to walk through a thousand corpses and suffer to notice the weakness in your mind, you can’t erase that design or path.  It is about creating your own heaven on Earth.”

VENOM PRISON will embark on their biggest tour yet – supporting heavy metal titans, Trivium on their next European tour alongside Code Orange and Power Trip. To coincide with the tour, Prosthetic Records will reissue the definitive, deluxe edition of the Animus. The CD version is completely repackaged in a deluxe, 2 CD digi-pak including a live album of tracks captured on the road which includes live favourite Babylon The Whore, taken from their debut EP. The live tracks were recorded by Steve Kent on the band’s ‘Sacrificial Summer’ tour in August 2017, and then later mixed and mastered by Tom Dring. The limited, deluxe vinyl is limited to just 500 copies, in purple splatter with the bonus live CD also included.

VENOM PRISON’s unflinching attitude to extreme metal has caught the attention of passionate music fans and critics alike, setting them apart. With a rejuvenated rhythm section in place, the band has started work on their second full length album which is due to materialise later in the year via Prosthetic Records. Until then, revisit Animus in deluxe form – an uncompromising aural assault that tackles subjects such as social Darwinism, misogyny, rape culture and the rejection of religion.
